"This place is awesome. The chicken is fresh never frozen and that makes a huge difference in taste. The chicken is a touch on the spicy spectrum but very good. The baked beans were super, as was the Mac and cheese and greens. Chicken was good sized pieces and juicy inside cooked perfectly."
"Gotta stop in for the BEST fried chicken every time I’m in Memphis. LOVE the fried pickles and pecan pie too. It’s a bit obscure if you’re looking for it for the first time, but we’ll worth it. Just a short walk from Beale Street it’s a great place to have dinner and a PBR before seeing a game or a live show. They even have a good ol’ jukebox and some neat things on the walls. Only actual thing that could use some improvement would be the restrooms."
"I had never heard of Gus’s before visiting Memphis! So I had no idea how big of a name it had. I am very glad I had the opportunity to experience Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken and the fried okra I had along with it. I really enjoyed the meal. The chicken was very tasty and I wish I had gotten more than two pieces. The wait staff were all very friendly and one of the ladies even gave my family a compliment. It was quite crowded but we were able to get our food in a timely manner!"
"The lady who worked the counter upon first entering was most welcoming! Once seated Travisa was so nice! My daughter tried me chicken fingers and okra. I got the three piece wing plate with greens on the side! The slaw was so good, I also ate my daughter’s off her plate! The greens were exceptional and the beans were very tasty. Although, the chicken states it’s hot and spicy, I added lots of Louisiana Hot sauce to it. Overall friendly atmosphere. The food is worth going!"
"Just can't beat it! The chicken is perfectly crispy and spicy. Their ranch, honey mustard and fried foods are all good. The sides are pretty standard but you're there for the chicken anyways. I like that they've opened up paid parking in the lot next door. Sometimes crowded, but they get people in and out quickly. Prices are very fair. Good service, friendly people, love the vibes. Highly recommend."
