"No one ever wants to need a service like Chicago Water Medics. By definition, if you are calling, there is a crisis. Aaron and his team are fully aware of this and come into the situation with empathy, quick action and complete professionalism. Short version - I highly recommend them without reservation. Aaron and his team are professional, efficient, thorough and as a bonus, just really nice humans. As a more detailed account of our experience, from the moment they arrived until the day they pulled away for the last time, I was completely impressed with the service offered by every single member of the business I interacted with. Not only did they offer an immediate assessment, they were prepared to act immediately. No hard sell, no pressure, genuine understanding that in spite of the obvious concern of standing water in our basement, we may need to take a beat. Throughout the process they went above and beyond. When it became clear we had a blocked sewer line, they began calling all of their connections with plumbers and had a team out to our place within hours - an impressive feat coming off of major flooding in the entire area. When the damage proved to need more extensive stabilization than anticipated, they did not come to present an up-charge (which would have been well within their rights), just brought the change in the scope of work they were doing to our attention and indicated they would honor the original estimate. Communication was consistent and informative. When I accidentally dialed one of the lead team members, I received a callback and text within five minutes from a different team member indicating he was covering the phones and if we needed anything to please call back. They checked in on the progress once the dehumidifier and fans had been set, let us know that if it took longer than expected they would not charge for that time - which was entirely possible considering it was continuing to rain on and off throughout the process. At some point the fact that our basement freezer had failed was discovered - a running fan kept it from being immediately apparent that the cooling element had been compromised. Thus it took a few days to realize we had rotting food to contend with on top of everything. Aaron’s team offered to don respirators and clean it out when they came to collect the demolition debris. This is service above and beyond. It is sadly rare to come across such stellar service nowadays - especially in an industry that could easily take advantage of the crisis nature of the situation. Oh, and I failed to mention, all of this service began over a long holiday weekend. When the blocked sewer line impeded the ability to fully pump all of the water out, the team was back on the Fourth of July after the plumbers had cleared the lines to ensure we were left with a dry basement. We never felt they were rushing to get back to their holiday and were more concerned about our timeline, asking if we had plans and needed them to be finished by a certain time. Should you find yourself in need of such services, Chicagoland Water Medics provides outstanding service from top to bottom and will make the crisis less overwhelming."

"We had a pipe burst on Christmas morning and were recommended to use Chicagoland Water Medics from a local friend. TLDR: Understand that you NEED Aaron and his crew on your side while you dispute demo and reno repairs with your insurance company! They will not let the ins adjusters cut corners because they itemize out exactly what you're requesting to get your space back to normal. In our instance, my insurance company was trying to dispute every little cost Chicagoland Water Medics estimated (completely trying to nickel and dime us on every corner). Fortunately, Aaron does things by the book, leaving the insurance company no room to dictate to us what we should pay for each line item. After my husband and I reviewed our insurance policy in full detail, we discovered that was correct, and we went ahead with our renovation to the standards we had before. We also caught our ins company in a lie when they told us one thing while telling Water Medics another, which Aaron and his crew shared with us immediately - further gaining our trust of them. After getting the run-around from our insurance, we took a big leap of faith and followed the Water Medics process to get our insurance company to act quicker, and received the appropriate payouts from the insurance immediately. We were covered for 100% of our expenses associated with the demo and reno of our entire finished basement. I especially liked Chicagoland Water Medics' demo crew – they are a very respectful and hardworking team, and you can tell they enjoy working with each other. The renovations also went smoothly and competently. Everyone was neat and tidy and did their best to minimize mess and stress for us while under construction. My only criticism is that I wish it had gone quicker - - however, the main holdup was waiting and waiting for my insurance company to approve the claims. Once we got thru the insurance company's red tape, we had workers here every day until the job was finished. At no time was I left waiting for a portion of work to be done. I feel that if I had used a different, more well-known/name-brand remediation company, it would have been a slapdash repair job with the lowest grade materials and work possible - they likely would have appeased the insurance company, instead of me - the homeowner. "Aaron and his team are very professional, do their job fast at a reasonable price, and, at the same time he is very compassionate and really listens to your needs. They cleaned our basement last spring after a flood, and we've been flooded again when they where in the drying process already. Aaron was so nice to accommodate one more water removal. This is extra time. Neither less to say we are enjoying our basement at it's fullest, no mold, and no other problems. A big Thank you!"

"We discovered we had a water pipe break this past Sunday morning. I called Aaron and he arrived within a couple hours. He and his team worked straight through for 8 hours and returned the next day for additional work. He was very professional and explained everything he was doing and answered all my questions. Aaron handled all paperwork electronically and documented everything with videos and photos. He demonstrated excellent communication and helped me tremendously by contacting a plumber, flooring expert, drywall expert, and content packout company. All the professionals were there within days to do any immediate work and give estimates, etc. Aaron returned each day to check on the drying equipment and communicated with me each day about his arrival time. By the fifth day, the drying mats, humidifiers and fans on the hardwood floors had done an excellent job and they had everything cleaned up within a couple hours. That same day he had all the necessary documents submitted to the insurance adjuster and insurance company. Aaron and his team made my home water disaster feel seamless. Exceptional service was provided from beginning to end."
