Watauga Skate Park

"Clean and fun little skate park. Concrete is smooth but not polished. Ramps have excellent maintenance, transitions are well kept, and there's also a small covered sitting area. This park is next to the community center, so plenty of secure parking. No direct lighting, but there's some light from the parking lot if you're here after sunset. All levels of skaters should like this park, especially beginners and intermediate skaters."

"Bikers and skaters did not design this. It is hard to make a good run with speed. There are a good selection of things you can do tricks and such on. I will definitely revisit even though it lacks flow."

"Overall a nice park. It was clean, plenty of parking, and places to sit. The skating area was designed well, built well too, and there a couple spots of wear but it's in great shape. Only two dings: would like to see more trees for shade and covered seating. Highly recommend going there to skate."

"Our new skater [age 6] loved this park! We got him a beginner 22 inch board for Christmas and this was his second time at a skate park. Every other child was so friendly and encouraging. They gave him space and time to be focused and determined. It is nice and spacious. Great culture."

"When we came on a Saturday morning there were only two other (older) kids. There is a lot of parking close to the park and no gate or fences so you can park right up at the skate park. This was good for me because I stayed in the car with my sleeping baby while my 11 yo rode his bike. He really enjoyed it and says it is just about as good as any other skate park he has been to, and he has to been to a lot of them."
