"No signs and the parking lot was chained shut on a weekday. We got in through the animal shelter access. The only trails open and maintained were because of the utility lines. Very busy with birds but they were VERY skittish. I have over 30 years of birding experience and have never seen such fearful birds except in areas where they are being actively hunted. All informational plant identification signs in the wetlands were years old with most of the plants shown no longer there. Very disappointing"

"The wetlands is a great place for birding. With several habitats to explore and attract birds including the ponds themselves."

"Not open to the public at present. This former water treatment facility has quite a few ponds and is an amazing place for birding. I do hope they can open it to the public soon. Many amazing and rare birds flock to this place. It will quite an asset for the City of San Benito when they get it open. People will travel here from far away just to see the wonderful birdlife."

"This is a really nice area but its unclear of you can walk along the trails. I'm ready to give this area more stars once they can tell us of it's open or closed. You can do good birding here, with both pelicans being seen, a variety of raptors, and good flycatcher like a vermilion or black phoebe."
