Club Fitness - Maplewood

"The management and staff are extremely nice and helpful and go out of their way. I just didn't give it 5 stars because it's way overcrowded, and the prices for platinum membership has gone up while there have been several restrictions of access to peripheral items including charging $10 to use the tanning bed instead of unrestricted and unlimited platinum membership access i signed up with. That's not the management's fault of the gym, but the corporate needs to check themselves. As far as equipment goes, they have the best equipment around. Great personal training staff. Lots of classes all the time. Just zoo crowded."

"It’s a nice gym and like the employees and how clean it is. But the sauna never works and raising the rates this year… come on."

"The gym itself is great. The issue is the company. CF just increased base price by almost 45% to keep the same amenities. I moved so creve coeur is closer, need to upgrade my membership now to attend a new club - no thanks"

"Update, new fee structure is bizarre and only allows "legacy" memberships to go to a single location even though the agreement I signed was for all location access. Funny how a gym membership agreement is iron clad if you want to cancel early, but super flexible if the gym wants more of your money. Great facility and staff, but unfortunately, they still have too many members during normal hours. This means your workout will take longer, which adds up to a great deal of time. There are better club fitness locations not far."

"Equipment is very good. Lockers and mens restrooms always smell foul. I would avoid leaving your bag in any lockers for cleanliness sake. I'm also unsure why they feel the need to blast royalty free EDM outside their building 24/7. Place is crowded 4-7pm. Sometimes all benches will even be taken after 8pm. The club fitness centers are kept slightly cleaner the more west you go toward the outer ring suburbs and St. Charles in my experience. In trade, the audience is generally younger and more disrespectful. Groups of 3+ people taking machines, talking for 5-10 minutes between sets, and trading machines. I thought that the Maplewood location has one of the more respectful communities of all CF gyms."
