"This pool used to be open to the public for a nominal fee and was my favorite place, especially when they pushed the bulkheads to one end during the summer. It's only one of two publicly-accessible indoor long courses in DFW. When the place was renovated back in 2010, they placed a lot of the blame for the state of disrepair on it being open to the public, so they closed it. Total B.S. The fact they appropriated absolutely ZERO money into an annual maintenance budget had nothing to do with it, right? There's no good reason it shouldn't be open to the public like it was for many years."
"The pool itself is very nice. It's all heated, has diving platforms, and lap lanes...but it's NEVER open to the public. :( That, and it's $125/hr to rent for a non-educational-based team (public dive team for instance). Why would the city of Dallas (whom it's owned by) have such a nice facility that nobody can use?"
"A nice pool but their hours are very limited and it is very busy. The pool is HUGE. Loos was completely renovated in the summer of 2010; the locker rooms are nicer, with new showers and toilet facilities. And new air and water circulationsystems have improved air and water quality 100%! New paint everywhere, it simply looks like a different pool. The diving area is one of the few parts that have not been changed unfortunately, otherwise it is truly amazing."
