"Matthew H. provided installation of soundproofing vinyl and a sheet over a doorway that runs between my tenants. He did a great job of evaluating what was needed for the heavy vinyl ( over 50 lbs) to ensure secure fastening. He also filed and added fasteners to a door for me that was left too low, and it dragged causing a scratch on newly refinished floors. He was very willing to help even though it wasn’t part of my initial request. He was clean, polite and thorough with the job and materials. I would recommend him for any project you have around your home!"

"I hired Matthew to do some work for me. He was to start at 9am. But showed up between 11 - 2:30. From the 1st day he never spoke. Not even hello. He was lazy & had bad body order. After tearing out my old closet. He patched and painted. Then painted bathroom ceiling. I told him we were going to wait for Closets By Design to install. Then wait a week before beginning retiling another bathroom. At the end of the day he sat at my kitchen table and emailed me a receipt. I already paid for the work he performed. He wanted an extra $1,800! He started raising his voice. My 2 yo granddaughter was napping. I told him no more money. His voice got louder until the baby woke up. We were there alone so I tried to calm him down. He refused to leave until he had all the money? I told him I was calling 911. He said they would arrest me. Matthew started acting creepy. While on the phone with dispatcher I texted my daughter to come home right away. Matthew stood up saying I was taking photos of him. While holding my crying granddaughter he pushed past me harshly. Stating he was going to take photos of the work he did?? I opened my front door waiting for police. He was verbally harassing me. When police arrived they saw my granddaughter crying. One officer stayed to protect us. 2 other officers tried to get him out of my house. He wouldn't even answer if he had a gun. Matthew was trespassed from my property with no communication with me. The whole ordeal was scary. When I paid him he wrote Hottsin construction."
