"Beautiful spring-fed pool, algae is filtered at intake, so water is very clean (compared to Baton springs in Austin, for example)."

"The pool is the third largest in Texas and is fed by the Las Moras Spring. The water is always at 68 degrees, it is so inviting when the sun is brutal during the summer, quite an amazing feature one would not expect to find here in the middle of rural Texas. Such a wonderful place."

"Beautiful pool and area with magnolia and shade trees. You can definitely tell the pool needs repairs though. But refreshing to swim in."

"I frequently visited this place when my grandparents lived on Fort Clark. It is an awesome place to be and about the only thing to do on the Fort, especially if you are young and it is too hot outside to do anything else. Only thing you have to be aware of is that the water is extremely and uncomfortably cold like most spring fed pools are. Do not jump into the pool blindly not knowing this! Slowly walk into the pool and give your body time to adjust to the chilling shock. Yes, the security is a bit over the top and has never changed since they first implemented monitoring people getting in/out of the pool. However, I get it, beforehand the pool could easily get too overcrowded by only a few families when there were no limits on how many guests you could bring with you. Would love to go and see it again but probably never will as it is too far in the middle of no where."
