"I have to disagree with a lot of what has been said. I worked there for 28 years. I was an Aide, a part time nurse when she was out. I was also a secretary for several years. We serve a need for students who don’t always fit into a regular school or for some students who could no longer go to their school. The staff are trained caring people who want to help students to over come problems they may have had at their home school. The success rate is out standing. I have students who have stayed in touch with me over the years. There is even a student who I watch on TV because he is on a College basketball team. If I had a child that needed to go to a school like SE I would send them there in a second."

"so far a great experience. Ms. Zikuda the principle is very friendly and helpful. she has worked with me to arrange a job shadowing through my high school because i am looking to become a special education teacher. she was very helpful and put in lots of time and effort to get my shadowing scheduled. overall so far a great school!!!"

"This school's says it's ttys to help kids get better and all but when I have been there all I've seen is kids getting tackled for either dropping a pencil or doing something they couldn't control and the kids are yelling they can't breath but the teachers just keeping pushing on them which makes it harder for them to breath. But overall this has got to be the worst school to go to and honestly they have a better chance and getting better at any normal high school."

"I was put into this school because my regular Junior High School (Lakeview Junior High School) in Downers Grove Illinois had a horrible principle at that time who misdiagnosed me as somebody who needs a behavioral disorder academic institution!!! This place does not care about the students!!! Overall a horrible experience that should have not happened to me!!!"
