"My visit with Dr Jane was outstanding. She has a lot of skin in the game and has been doing this for years. I sought her services as part of the hiring process for a job with the federal government, and she made the whole experience seamless. I was given a strict deadline from the hiring center to get the results of her assessment submitted, and she was able to work with me on that and get the report finalized and submitted before the deadline without any issues. She truly is great to work with."

"I had my first appointment at 2pm. Showed up at 1:50 and sat in the office until 2:10 completely alone…there wasn’t even a secretary but a sign that said to be patient signed by the “office manager.” I don’t know about most people but I have anxiety and struggle with even showing up to appointments and to not even be greeted and having to sit alone in an office feels really unprofessional. Also, clean up the cigarette butts on the porch (:"

"Not accredited with BBB - for good reason! Continues to send me invoices for a bill I already paid. I have called and left MULTIPLE voicemails in attempt to resolve this. I will be sending a certified letter with proof of payment and request a debt validation and itemized bill detailing what unpaid services I’m being billed for. At this point this is simply harassment. If this can’t be resolved I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and AG. Edit to add: make sure to look at the other low ratings as they perfectly explain other issues I encountered as a patient. Update: Called after receiving yet another invoice for the same paid bill. I will be honest, I was surprised the call was answered this time, but I am grateful it was. Per Dr. Velez they are working to resolve this with an old billing company and I can disregard the invoice. While I appreciate finally getting some answers, I am leaving my review up as I have made multiple attempts over several months to get to the bottom of this and my calls and letter were never returned. Dr. Vélez stated she “wanted to call me but could not find my number”, which I find a poor excuse given I have had the same phone number since 2008, so whatever number is in my file is accurate (and she was able to locate my number when I was a patient) and I have left several voicemails and ever sent a letter regarding this matter with all of my contact information including my address, email, and phone number. Very disorganized and poor communication."

"I will be upfront and to the point. Dr. Velez is a good therapist. I came here in the Fall of 2022 wanting someone who would listen and guide me through my problems. She was understanding and kind during our sessions. With that said, she is very disorganized. Sessions would rarely start at their scheduled time, and would often run well over the 1 designated for them. Dr. Velez would frequently stop sessions to look for paperwork, or other documents that were not ready. On one occasion I was locked outside of the officer while I waited for her to arrive for an appointment. While I have great respect for Dr. Velez and her team, I can't in good conscience reccomend her office in its current state, and I implore her to restructure the organization at the office."

"I have always been impressed with Dr. Velez's professionalism as a psychologist. She clearly has the requisite knowledge and background necessary for her profession. But what makes Jane Velez stand head and shoulders above all the rest is not something that can be learned from the pages of a text book or even in the classroom, but rather it is her innate ability to relate to her patients in a compassionate and thoughtful manner. I have never minded waiting for Dr. Velez to conclude a session with another client. Providing therapy for a patient is nothing like getting your tires rotated on your car or your oil changed. It is not something that should ever be rushed. I will always be only too happy to give of my time for someone who may need extra time from her. Who knows, there may one day come a time when I will be that person who requires more of her time. There are many of us who are on the "right side of the grass" today just because of her expertise."
