"I have had 3 procedures at this facility and it has been an absolutely fabulous experience every time. The staff is friendly, caring and so compassionate. They went above and beyond to ensure my every need was met. The facility itself is very clean, beds were comfortable and the warm blankets are so comforting! Highly recommend this facility and the staff from the front desk, to the nurses as well as the doctors."

"Worst place to go. Staff not friendly and probably because Dawn Pollard who is suppose to be the CEO /Administrator is by far unprofessional and you can tell has no type of nursing degree. The core values for tgis facility for integrity and accountability is a joke! Not displayed at all. Very biased staff. The staff needs a education on customer service and cultural awareness/differences including being more empathetic. The Joint Commission (JCAHO) really needs to do some thorough training and train nurses how to be friendly when approaching patients that are already tired, dealing with pain and anxious about a surgery and procedure. Nurses should get their attitude before coming into office and not draw up assumptions. The only people that are welcoming is the front check-in staff. My visit was so bad on 2 separate occasions with staff not being welcoming and making up rules that aren't policy written. They should hire more nurses that can relate to all races and not just have an adbumance of one race..They need equality to improve the quality of non biased and judementaive care while delivering excellent customer service. What I've also noticed no one from this facility addresses the comments from people that posted reviews, which surely shows the lack of quality customer service this facility provides and not adhering to the core values. I hope JCAHO and ANCC are made aware of this place!!"

"My fiancé had a colonoscopy with Dr. Mays at THR Denton surgery center. He followed the prep instructions exactly. He then vomited and aspirated during the procedure. They sent him home with nothing on a holiday weekend. We ended up in the ER. He was treated for pneumonia. After a week of antibiotics, we finally spoke to Dr Mays. He ordered a chest xray and labs. He then called to tell us he had chemical pneumonitis. (After antibiotics for a week). He blamed my fiancé , saying it was because he vomited. He was under anesthesia!! I cannot believe the lack of follow up and blaming a patient for following the prep instructions that were given to him. He is still not back to himself. Still running low grade fever daily and his o2 sats are still low. From a colonoscopy!!!! I do not recommend THR Denton surgery center. Dr. Mays was pleasant at the time, but, how do you not call to check on someone after something like this? Very low standards of care."

"I had surgery at the end of April and my experience was wonderful. Check in was easy and on time and from there everyone I came in contact with throughly explained what was going to happen next and always made sure I was comfortable. Post op my nurse got my pain under control immediately and explained all the discharge instructions to my caregivers. I highly recommend this surgery center."
