"I was referred to him and he didn’t feel comfortable taking me as a patient. Instead of having someone tell me that originally, I had to call the office back after running around trying to get everything they originally asked me for. The office did not care that my primary care office gave me an emergency referral and instead felt I should go with the OB that the hospital referred even though I’ve stated on multiple occasions that I did not feel comfortable with that OB. Especially since the doctor at the hospital that referred the other OB didn’t seem to care about my problem(s) and just that I should’ve already seen an OB in Illinois. I’ve stated to everyone exactly why I hadn’t received care yet and now I’ve been denied care adding on to the lack of concern. I’d recommend just going to a Midwife which is exactly what I have for my homebirth, which is something else the hospital doctor didn’t like."

"I saw Dr. Morris several times throughout my pregnancy with my first child (daughter). During the first few visits he was friendly and put me at ease. He has a dynamic personality and doesn’t rush visits. However i decided I had to share a very negative experience I had towards the end of my pregnancy in a visit with him: I had tested borderline on my first GD test and was asked to schedule the two hour test to confirm that I was not diabetic in my pregnancy (something that I do understand can be serious when left untreated). Because my second test was right around the thanksgiving holidays I ended up scheduling it a few weeks later than would have been ideal since I wasn’t in town. When I went in for my routine appointment beforehand (around 33 weeks I believe) Dr. Morris told me that it was too late to do the second diabetes test and that I was a negligent mother and that my baby would likely die because of this negligence. He was very unprofessional and said several times that my baby was going to die and that he “was glad he wasn't the last doctor who had seen me because he’d be sued… etc”. When I said I was willing to take the test or another test if he thought it was more prudent but questioned his extreme response to what I knew was not a bad test result from my first blood sugar test he just kept telling me it was basically hopeless and my baby would die and he hoped he didn’t get sued. My mom is a nurse and had looked at the GD test results with me so I knew that it was very unlikely that the situation was really that serious (especially with the amount of time that was left to treat my GD if I did indeed have it). In the end I took a few blood sugar tests in the following weeks and my results were incredible. No reason to be concerned at all. Dr. Morris never apologize for his manner and unprofessional behavior to me and shrugged the results off as “lucky”. Like I said at the beginning I had several positive experiences with him as my OB, but after this experience I would never be able to recommend him to a friend. Especially someone who actually might have issues with their pregnancy and would need an OB with a much more excellent bedside manner. By the way my daughter was born vaginally without complications at 41 weeks and weighed under 7 lbs. I had an incredibly healthy pregnancy and there was absolutely no need for concern about her health."
