"Federal and 2 states cost over 100 dollars. Income 13500. Not sure their system is working. I paid once federal received, I have now submitted 2 states 4 times in a month and nothing is happening"
"Judy in tech support is 5 starts and saved me from an otherwise nightmare experience. Their software is NOT helpful and if your return is rejected you are on your own to get from the email to your return to solve the problem. The help center tells you what the issue is, but does not give you any help in applying it to the software. My return kept disappearing, I somehow ended up with two returns. Again their software does not flag this for you. SO you are left wondering why your return is blank. If I were to choose them again, which is a huge if, I would be the wiser. But there is also the issue of the fees. I started out in the free edition and they charged me but did not explain when or why I had to pay. Plus, they charge $54.95 for direct deposit. Why am I being charged for the IRS to direct deposit money in my account? NO thank you I will wait for a paper check and use another provider next year...My encounter with Judy bumped them up to two stars... She was amazing! She was the best part of my experience with TaxAct.."
