"I had James Medina and Texas tax service do mine and my wife's taxes. When we divorced and had our decree settled and agreed. We agreed to Claim one child each year. We only have two kids btw. She had agreed and everything was kosher. Well when she went to do her taxes with James. He advised her that she should claim both children regardless of what our decree states because it would help her with the purchase of a home. . I asked him why are you advising her what to do against our decree. All he states out loud before I can finish my sentence is that federal law overrides any decree. I said. We have an order from the judge in which she agreed and signed too. Again he starts yelling. Federal law overrides and document. I let him know I was upset and I did not feel it was any of his business to get into our personal business. He said. I don't have time for this. As he thought he hung up on me I could still hear him with his client and he proceeds to tell his client that knows nothing about me or my wife that. Yeah yeah. It's a complicated deal between them and continues to explain my personal business to some stranger. When I said. I'm still here on the phone James Medina. He quickly hung up. I feel embarrassed and I feel upset. All we asked is for you to do our taxes James Medina. Not get involved in our personal business and suggest things that aren't any of your business. I felt he was extremely unethical in the his line of business and only screwed me out of what I'm owed for being A parent to my children 50% of the time. Needless to say. It has done nothing but cause more problems for me and my ex wife. I would not recommend this business to anyone."

"Tax Payer beware. If you are in need of an accurate return, avoid Texas Tax Service. I used this firm one time and two significant errors were made on my return prepared by Mr. Medina. When I contacted him for assistance on his first error, he told me I needed to contact the IRS. He offered zero assistance on resolution. His second error resulted in a demand from the IRS for back taxes on the misreporting of a simple HSA contribution. Not only did I waste 375.00 on tax preparation fees on this firm, I am now having to work with the IRS on correcting his errors with no assistance. If you are looking for a quality tax accounting service, save yourself time, money and headaches by searching elsewhere."
