"I drove out of my way to come to this location because of the great customer service I received over the phone. I was told by someone that I could just come to the location and someone would assist me with opening an investment account. However, when I arrived, I sat and waited for a while and watched 4 customers, (some who arrived after I did) be assisted. Once the last person was assisted, I was told that, suddenly, they were short staffed and I was directed to open an account online. I needed to open an account in person because there were some documents I needed signed, otherwise I would have opened an account online. I was the only person of color there, so this type of treatment does not surprise me, but I did expect more from Fidelity, especially from the customer service I received over the phone. I’ll just take my business somewhere where everyone is treated equally."
