"Rosenthal Brothers of Deerfield IL is the worst insurance agency I have ever worked with. I have used this agency for many years. I also referred them significant volumes of business over the course of 15 years. In 2020 my trusted agent moved to a new position and my policy was transferred to a new agent (Diana Punda) without any notice. I have a vacation home and 2 cars insured through Travelers Insurance with this agency. I also set my elderly Mom up with insurance through this agency. Shortly after COVID started in March my Mom passed away. I contacted the agency and the new agent immediately made it her priority to notify Travelers insurance that the home was no longer occupied. That seemed a bit premature as my Mom had just passed away days earlier. I explained this to the agent and she then spoke with an underwriter who said it would not be a problem to keep the insurance policy as long as the home remained furnished. I have kept the home furnished and on 10/5/20 I was contacted by the agent (Diana Punda) who informed me that Travelers would not be renewing the policy since the home was no longer owner occupied. To be clear the home is fully furnished and on the market to be sold. I asked why I was being notified of the non-renewal 1 week after she received notification from Travelers and did not receive a response (she has had my contact information the entire time as I promptly contacted her after my Mom passed away in late March 2020). I asked why the policy was not able to be renewed despite was I had been previously been told by her and the Travelers underwriter and she stated that all homes on the market for sale must be insured through Foremost Insurance. That came as a huge shock to me as I have never heard of all homeowners with a home for sale being forced to change to Foremost Insurance. I never received a response from the agent or any suitable alternatives. If I choose a company like Travelers Insurance to handle a $500K home I certainly want comparable coverage and I do not believe a company like Foremost Insurance would be a suitable option. It appears there is no one in a management capacity in charge at this agency and that has definitely been my experience. They allow young, inexperienced agents to give bad advice to customers. Do not trust them to insure your most valuable assets. Find another agency that has experienced, intelligent agents that actually care about you rather than the insurance company."

"After 45 years as a practicing professional, I recently downsized my company with the goal of eventually retiring. After being a RB client for many years I asked the agent who handles my business liability account, Jenn Ratke, to review my policy to see if I was paying for coverage no longer relavant or needed as a result of the recent downsizing. The question was posed on more than one occasion without a reply. We all know how insurance companies and their agents derive their income. I guess some policy holders get better customer service than others for the obvious reason. Needless to say, I'm no longer a RB client."
