While the group is off to a great start, the patients' improvement directly reflects the caring, personalized treatment available at the MendCenter."

"I am very sorry to have to write this online, but I have been unable to connect with the Executive Director of this therapy center to discuss a serious diagnosis received by a patient treated here. Dr. Garcia as Executive Director did not respond to inquiries for an appropriate diagnostic assessment for the patient for over 18 months. Additionally, they documented clearly that the administrator, Bethany Sturgis, committed not one but TWO HIPPA violations during a complex insurance coverage issue. I am afraid to say that this is likely one of many fraudulent therapy practices. Furthermore, the center is practicing a highly experimental type of therapy that is not the standard of care for most of the conditions they claim to provide treatment for."

"I’ve been trying to let it go and just consider my experience a lesson but living here has been tremendously awful. The clinician team never provided real treatment, to help me and the other residents progress. It seems as if the only thing they truly cared about was my family making my online payment on time. Living here was a complete waste of time and money. I would’ve been better off at the other facility my family and I located. This facility observe and document their patients as if they’re animals instead of providing the treatment they claim they provide. The directors, the clinician team and the case managers are pointless and money hungry. They’re fake and prejudice. No one leaves saying they’ve gotten better. No one supported me for real. Living there felt hell bound. The other few residents were prejudice as well and treated me poorly because I was not their kind. I highly don’t recommend it here, not even as a day member. They recruit all of these people just to get their money. A lot of the residents who go to this place ends up coming out homeless and even in a worse condition. Please save your time and continue your search else where. This ISNT the place to be."

"So, I’ve been a patient of Dr. Garcia for the past 10+ years. I would say over that extended period of time, we have had a chance to develop quite a professional and successful therapeutic relationship. I have been a patient of Dr. Garcia’s from the time that I was an undergraduate student all the way to me getting into graduate school to earn my PhD in public health research. Dr. Garcia has provided me with excellent services in the form of academic testing, and cognitive behaviorist therapy (CBT). Admittedly, I know I haven’t always been the easiest patient to deal with but Dr. Garcia and his team have always been there for me and has helped me to get through some tough situations. If ever there was a problem or an issue that I needed help with regarding counseling, Dr. Garcia and his staff have been able accommodations for me as needed. The staff at the MendCenter are always very sweet and helpful, and they are happy and willing to help as needed if there is ever a scheduling issue with my appointments. Overall, I am happy with my experience here at the MendCenter. Although I have been through a lot in my life throughout the years that requires extensive counseling services, I am eternally grateful for the MendCenter for being there for me, and for counseling and mental health services that Dr. Garcia and his team have been able to provide me with over the years."
