"I have been a student here for over an year. Ms. Anjali Nandan is absolutely amazing. I have been dancing since I was 4 but when I moved here to the US I wanted to keep my passion for the artform alive and joined Natyam Academy of performing arts. The classes are very well handled. Here are some things I found useful- 1. Punctuality- The classes always start and end on time. 2. Choreography- The dances are choreographed by Ms. Nandan herself and are all very amazing and beautiful. 3. Open source knowledge to those who like to educate themselves- Onlinebharatanatyam.com has been educating so many people. I admire and respect teachers who share knowledge rather than those who hide it for monetary benefits. You have avenue to learn not just in class but outside as well. 4. Customized to your individual abilities- I have kids, teenagers and adults of all age range in the class. The dances are started out to cater everyone. If you have injuries and you can not do something, you will be given a variation which can keep the integrity of the dance without affecting your health. 5. Finally Ms. Nandan- She has proven history to have worked with some of the amazing artists and she is humble. She will listen to you, she will share the best of her knowledge and make sure you are comfortable. Non-native speakers do face problems understanding the songs, but she provides translations and is very sensitive of the audience and the dancers' needs. She cares for her students very much. And I enjoy every bit of her grace and devotion to dancing. I highly recommend to join Ms. Nandan's team! Kudos!"
