"Went to do a meet and great with a puppy and was told we needed to bring our other animals to meet and great as well! 10 minutes to closing asked if we could hold the dog and was told no! Come to find out they adopted him 5 min after we left. When asked about the dog they said they asked us if we wanted to hold the dog but that wasn’t the case! They actually told us no we couldn’t and now was told we could! Watch out for this deceptive business practices! Do not trust a business who doesn’t hold there employees accountable for there mistakes! Will never do business with El Paso Human Society Ever!"

"We got our dog here about a month ago(his shelter name was Kelso) To this day, I cannot figure out why he was in the shelter for as long as he was!! My husband and I have four children. To say he is amazing with our children is an understatement. Our youngest is 15 months and follows him around all day long. He loves hugs and kisses and is so gentle with our kids. We are so happy to have found such a great pup from your shelter! I was reading some of the recent reviews and I wanted to note that on our visit to find a dog, there are clear warnings to not touch the dogs, and I’m not sure why anyone would mess with the contagious ones. My kids knew to not touch and one worker did approach us about one of the dogs we were near, saying to be extra careful because that dog would bite through the kennel. After looking at the dogs we were able to go outside and meet with three dogs, pet, play, etc. We actually met our dog that we adopted last, based off one of the staff noting how great he was with kids. So yes, don’t touch the dogs in the kennels, but you can totally ask to meet them outside in the yard and get a chance to play and interact with them. We went home and came back the next day after we made the decision to bring Kelso home and the adoption process was easy and painless. Thank you so much for the best dog we could have asked for!!"

"The people there are very nice and informative. Their prices are pretty high. They do have a ton of kittens and super adorable puppies right now. One of them is a tiny pit mix, that's cheesy and he is gorgeous with blue eyes and grey fur. The other squid is the sweetest of dogs and needs a good home. We went across the way and got our new baby kitten, or we might have grabbed one of these two."

"I love volunteering here, it’s super easy to sign up and the work is nothing drastic but really helps and makes a difference. Great way to get people to volunteer/help out while also having fun! I recommend for any groups wanting to do community service as well."
