Smoque Steak

"We walked in twenty minutes to close without a reservation and they easily sat us at the bar, which having worked in a restaurant in my college days, I know how those last minute walk ins can feel so I appreciate them accommodating us. The drinks were good, the steaks great, and service was fast but not rushed. Also gotta say the price point here is very fair. My buddy and I both got the shirt steak. It’s cooked sous vide and seared, the fries were crispy and the red chimmi was a nice touch. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and the service. Our cocktails also incredibly good. I ordered the smoqued pineapple and it was genuinely one of the best smoked cocktails I’ve had in a very long time. I’ve paid more for less at other steakhouses so will be happy to recommend this to friends and visitors."

"Visited for a deliciously unique Valentine's Day dinner. The steaks can't be compared to other steak spots based on the cooking style, texture, and flavors, which were reminiscent of their sibling restaurant Smoque BBQ. In addition to the steaks, we ordered a side of Brussels Sprouts - tasty. We ordered a bottle of Malbec (Tahuan) and one of the co-owners of Smoque brought and served the bottle out to us which was nice. Besides this, we felt rushed by our main server. Although we did not order dessert and were not finished with our cocktail or bottle of wine, we were handed the bill twice, and when we did finish, the server with a sly smile on his face asked "NOW, are you done?" After closing out, we still decided to enjoy a nightcap at the bar (wine bar) area. Cocktails whether in the dining area or bar area are excellent. I wouldn't mind stopping in again but hope to not have the same server/service."

"My friends and I came here for a birthday brunch. I didn't try cocktails but hopefully I can try next time. We all had Steak n Egg and shared Banana French Toast. Steak was smoked & perfectly cooked. Food was slightly cold, but everything was very tasty and good portion. They brought birthday sorbets for my friend after a small reminder... Overall good service and food!"

"My friends and I dined here on a Sunday evening. We were warmly welcomed to a sleek elegant yet relaxed atmosphere. Our server, Kat, was simply phenomenal! She was knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations. The food was served in a timely manner and was so delicious. The subtle hint of the smoke flavor took my filet experience to a whole new level. Dessert was delicious as well! Kat not only sang happy birthday for my friend whose bday we were celebrating; she sang the Stevie Wonder version! My friend is a huge Stevie Wonder fan. The staff paid attention to the small details which made the entire experience so special. I will definitely visit this restaurant again. I recommend it."

"My kids took me here for my birthday and I was very impressed with the food. Can’t remember all the dishes we ordered but my skirt steak was so delicious and flavored perfectly. The lobster grits sounded strange to me but they were positively incredible. The Brie Fondue was excellent as well. All the other steaks were cooked to perfection and the sides were as well. Wild mushrooms so so so good! The three desserts we had were good too…not great but good. Bananas foster bread pudding, cheesecake and chocolate cake. All in all, I would go back and be happy about it!"
