"I went to HPH ER on the afternoon of March 1st with chest pain and SOB. The hospital was full, the ER was full and the waiting room had no seats available. They were not even doing triage. I was told that the wait time would be 4-6 hours and that were 3 ambulances outside waiting. The staff member (not in uniform) said that the other 3 hospitals in the area had longer waits than HPH. I left because sitting there for so many hours would only make me feel worse. Thanks Endeavor and HPH. Still feeling chest pressure."

"If you or someone you love is having a mental health crisis DO NOT GO HERE! 19 hours in an empty room with a minor, no food or water offered, didn’t even see a doctor until 16 hours in. They threatened calling DCFS on me if we left and went to a different hospital. Horrific people, disgusting facility and you will not receive the care you need. We are lucky to have many different options for healthcare. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS HOSPITAL."

"I arrived at the Highland Park ER last night around 6:37 PM. I had tripped on the sidewalk downtown Chicago. Facial lacerations and hit my head.basically face planted on the sidewalk. Went to urgent care in the city. They recommended CT scan because of my age I’m 66. I had no headache no loss of consciousness my eyes were fine, but to err on the side of caution I stopped at Highland Park Hospital on my way home, what a mistake after I was seen for the CT scan they said the doctor will see you in about an hour for the results. 6 1/2 hours later I was still there waiting and waiting . I asked the intake nurse if she could check because I felt like I had fallen through the cracks. She informed me they do nothing with the medical part. She was very rude.. Then after midnight, I inquired with the security guard sitting there if he could find somebody to help me.. He responded in a condescending tone, ‘you are free to go at any time’ I was tired my 96-year-old mother was up waiting for me.. I decided to leave at 1 AM, as per my chart in the portal the next day the doctor came looking for me at 1:37 am and it was noted patient left. I have been using this hospital, my whole adult life raising 3 sons with all their emergencies over the years. I have never had an experience like this one. everyone Is so rude and just ignores you. There is no compassion. I had a CT scan result placed in my portal this morning. I screenshot it and sent it to a nurse friend of mine in California who was able to read it and assure me that all was fine with me. Since I have just moved back to the area after six years away, I do not have a primary dr at the moment. So apparently you are out of luck if you have a test done at the hospital w no dr and can’t wait the unreasonable wait times. DO BETTER North shore"

"Getting labs done on a Saturday at Highland Park Hospital was seamless. Front desk staff were extremely kind and squeezed me in without any issues. Donald, who did my bloodwork, was friendly and the blood draw was painless. Total 20 minutes for labs. Highly recommend."
