"This is a poorly managed practice. I had a bit of an urgent need to see a doctor, they didn’t have any appointments for 10 days. I took the first available. Day before the appointment, they called me up and canceled my appointment, reschedule it for the following Friday. Thursday, they called me and cancelled the Friday appointment. I then scheduled one for another ten days later and they cancelled that as well. I have had 3 appointments with Northwestern ENT and they have canceled every single one. They made no attempt to try to get me in. Poor management."

"My review is specific to the audiologist (Zein Rahman) who helped me with my first set of hearing aids. He was incredibly attentive and helpful in getting me up to speed. He was exceptional at listening to me and my questions/concerns about hearing aids. And, of course answering them. I was most impressed, however, at the time he took to sit with me and contact my insurance to make sure that my hearing aids would be covered. It was past 5pm and the office was closed. We probably spent close to 30 minutes on the phone. However, he was incredibly patient with me and very thorough with my insurance. I never felt as if he was rushing to get out. Very much appreciated! I would highly recommend Zein to anybody who is in need of an audiologist. I would also highly recommend Northwest ENT Associates and Dr. Hughes."

"I can't speak for all the doctor's in the practice but, unfortunately I would not recommend seeing Dr. Garrity if you think you have an issue that needs prompt attention. My initial visit was ok...he was polite and straightforward. But after that it all went down hill. He told me to come back the following week and have a sinus CT scan done in the office. Great. I was in and out in 5 minutes but then after that it took him almost 5 WEEKS to read the result of the scan and get back to me with what he found (and I called at least 3 times inquiring about the results). And when I say "get back to me" I mean, he wrote a 2 sentence email in the patient portal with the findings (with virtually no explanation) and a recommendation of surgery. That was followed by "call my nurse with questions." I obviously had several questions and called the next day. The nurse was out for the next couple days but the receptionist left a note for her to call me. 3 days came and went and so I called again and was told both the nurse AND doctor were out another week and they would leave another note for a call back. There was no one else I could talk to. That week came and went and I never got a call back. Approx. 7 weeks after my original sinus CT scan I saw a different ENT in another practice and the experience was a total 180!! And guess what, in all that waiting I did, my sinus issue cleared on it's own and I didn't need surgery after all! (the new ENT did another sinus CT scan during my first appointment and sat and talked me through it immediately afterward!) Can't emphasize enough the importance of 2nd opinions! Beyond the doctor, the rest of the staff at the office was just ok. Some were more helpful than others. I sat on hold a lot in the number of times I called... when I could get the calls to actually ring through. When the doctor wasn't reading my scan, they offered to burn me a CD of the scan and when I took it to the other doctor I was told it wasn't very useful because it only showed 3 still-image snapshots as opposed to being able to scroll through the whole scan. After a completely different experience with another practice from start to finish, I would highly recommend steering clear of this one and save yourself the headache (because you probably already have one of those if you are seeing an ENT in the first place!) Oh and you can't make payments online... you have to call them if you want to pay with a credit card. It's 2023... no one wants to write a check anymore!!!"

"SO WEIRD THERE. They had like 5 people come in for training… announce that maybe? The entire experience was awful. I feel like anything medical related should involve the nurse or doctor explaining to their patient what tests will be done and tell their patient each step along the way. Geeze made me feel like I was in an asylum or something. Bad vibes. Super weird doctor. No thanks!"

"Doctor thought he was above answering questions, which is surely a part of his job description. He was annoyed that I even asked them, and stood up to leave after giving single-sentence answers. Rolled his eyes at a nurse and then scurried away after she acknowledged that he did it. He told me verifiably false information (false per other more qualified doctors). Leaves a bad taste in combination with the condescending attitude. Took time off of work, waited about an hour, and paid for this. Everyone else was very nice and the doctor probably lacks bad intentions, but I don't recommend this place for anything beyond very generic procedures. I can understand why this location has negative reviews on Health apps."
