"Attention to detail and a genuine sense of caring for her patients. She takes her time and doesn't rush you out because she wants to make sure there is complete understanding."

"I love being able to just walk-in without an appointment. You have to go in later in the day otherwise the wait times can be long. I really like her as a person and as a doctor"

"While Dr. Akkanti's patient interaction is acceptable, her staff is very rude. While paying a bill, I told the staff member that I also needed to make an appointment. She rudely stated that I must pay the bill before making the next appointment. I found her to be short with her tone but I understood the bill needed to be paid and I did so. As soon as the bill was paid she hung up in my face. I thought maybe this was an accident. Maybe the phone disconnected. I even tried to call back to make the appointment but no answer. They didn't even try to call me back. I won't be going back to this office. Patient care starts not only with the doctors and nursing staff but the administrative staff as well."

"First visit was okay, with the doctor saying she would look at the blood results from the doctor who was doing my upcoming colonoscopy. During my second visit—which was only "necessary" because I needed a waiver signed for my dentist—I was charged $200 for a quick visit, during which the doctor a) didn't have any lab results from my colonoscopy doctor and b) scolded me for not mentioning a previous heart situation in my 1st visit (I DID mention it to the admitting nurse). But what really led to me leaving a 1-star review was the fact that I tried to get an appointment with the doctor so she could pass me on to a cardiologist. (My younger brother had just had a widow maker heart attack and I wanted to get my heart checked.) I called the doctor's office FOUR TIMES during business hours. Each time I got a recording, saying they were on another line or with a patient. Okay. So I left a detailed message—FOUR TIMES I explained about my brother's heart attack and how I wanted to see the doctor so she could recommend a cardiologist. FOUR detailed messages. The first of my FOUR messages was left nearly a month ago, the last one was last week. To this day I haven't received a single call back nor email from the doctor's office. Now I'm looking for a new PCP who'll answer the phone or return my calls."

"I need to update this review. I now give them a two star. This is because of making appointments, paying bills and follow up phone calls that just do not happen nine times out of 10. No one answer the phone anymore. They do not call you back when you leave messages. For over 3 years now they have used the excuse that our phone system has issues and it doesn't work correctly. People that's more than 3 years that this has been ongoing. I now have to come in person just to make an appointment and to pay my bills. I have called every phone number that they have just to make appointments, get my lab results, schedule follow-up appointments and to pay bills and it doesn't matter what number you call or leave a voice message on they're not going to call you back nine times out of 10. You have to do everything in person. I don't know what has happened. I've even brought it up to the doctor and she says the same thing oh it's our phone. No it's the employees and I don't know why she's covering for them anymore at this point. If you can get an appointment to see the doctor you usually have no issues and she does a fine job."
