"Yvette reminds me of that one coach everyone knows, the kind that kills the passion of the kids they coach. Having spent the majority of my life playing football and coaching youth football, I’m very familiar with discipline and hard coaches. In a lot of cases, I welcome it. However, my daughter didn't leave here more disciplined or more confident; instead, she left with a lower self-esteem. She wasn’t prepared for the reality of people not caring about her. My 9-year-old daughter rode here once a week for 6 months. We started with Yvette herself and transitioned to another trainer after the first month or two. We were considering switching to another place after realizing Yvette’s personality, but we stayed due to the trainer switch, hoping it would be better. Unfortunately, the toxicity persisted because when people fear their boss more than they care about your kid, your kid will still feel it. While I feel uneasy about sharing the truth on the internet, knowing it might hurt such a small organization, I firmly believe Yvette should not be coaching kids. She seemingly knew what she was talking about in regards to riding, but I have no patience for an adult narcissistic bully who ruins the self-esteem of kids and her staff."
