"As a previous employee in the ED, I’m ashamed that my name was ever associated with this facility. I got fired because “being pregnant is no excuse to be sick at work” that is a direct quote from the ED manager Laura Sawlsville. That is the most toxic environment I’ve ever worked in. They don’t care for their patients properly. It should be shut down. Edit 03/02/24. My husband and I took our 3 month old daughter because she was having trouble breathing due to RSV. The ER doctor and staff were great. The admitting doctors were absolutely horrible. Dr. Meyers and Dr. Cook should not have a license to practice medicine at all. Our daughter was admitted on 02/28/24. There were no interventions done for our child who was clearly struggling to breathe. The very next morning, several nurses came in to check on her and saw how bad her breathing was. They all said that they needed to do something for our child because she was clearly suffering. That very same morning, Dr. Cook her lungs sound good and that they were going to discharge her because she was "fine". Shortly after that the nurses came in and listened to her lungs and said they sounded crackley. Her father and I are both medical professionals and it was very clear to us that she was not fine and she needs assistance. The entire time we were there, the staff didn't suction her like she needed so we ended up doing it. The respiratory therapist Ryan gave me the biggest attitude when I called him and asked to come check her out. His response was "I was just up there" keep in mind that he was up there 2 hours prior and a lot can happen in that amount of time. The next morning Dr. Cook came in to check on her and he said that she was good. I told him that we wanted to transfer to another hospital because he was clearly not competent. He got very defensive with me and I told him that we had everything set up and that he just needed to make the call. Dr. Meyers came in and he was informed the same thing and he also got defensive and said that they're doing everything they can when in reality they were not. Then again why would a man who was arrested for being a sting with hookers know what to do? Yes, you read that right. KSB allows people like that to practice medicine in their facility! I didn't know until I looked him up. Sickening! Later that day, we had everything arranged and had our daughter transfered to Swedish American where she was properly cared for! Lifeline ambulance took great care of her on the way there! They did more for her in the hour she was with them, then the so called doctors did at KSB! Now I know why this place is called Kill Slaughter Butcher! NEVER TAKE ANYONE YOU LOVE HERE!"

"On February 17th 2024 my friend Jacob Blei was on comfort care. He was treated really well the nurses and the CNAs were very awesome keeping him at comfort. I wasn't leaving his side and they treated me well too. Sadly my friend passed away on February 18th, 2024. Thank You to all that had helped him."

"I brought my husband to the emergency room after he developed a rare immune mediated neurological disease that resulted in him losing his ability to walk. The ED provider quickly identified that he needed a higher level of care and transferred him quickly. He then began receiving PT & OT weekly at KSB which helped him regain his ability to walk. The PT & OT staff were AMAZING and went above and beyond to meet his care needs. We will never forget the great care they provided."
