Red Roof Inn Palatine

"I had an incredibly disappointing experience with Adrianna at the front desk of Red Roof Inn today. Her unprofessional and rude behavior made the experience extremely unpleasant. Her dangerous attitude towards guests is completely unacceptable. Steer clear of this place if you value basic courtesy and professionalism. Not only was Adrianna's behavior rude and unprofessional, but she also refused to check me in because the state ID I provided didn't scan into her system. This lack of flexibility and customer service is unacceptable. Avoid this establishment at all costs. Adrianna's unacceptable behavior reached its peak when she not only refused to check me in due to an issue with my state ID but also threw me out of the establishment and threatened to call the police. This level of hostility and aggression towards a paying customer is utterly reprehensible. Stay far away from Red Roof Inn if you value your safety and peace of mind."

"FRAUDULENT - tried to claim my $100 security deposit, despite my having left the room in perfect condition. Successfully did a chargeback. Nonetheless, avoid."

"I made reservations for two days through Expedia fully paid for. first surrounding were very shady but when I get into the lobby the CSR who goes by Mobi was very rude and had no business in hospitality business. first he told me that I owe the balance, I said no its fully paid on Expedia, then he asked for $100 Deposit. which is said he will charge to CC. I said no you can keep Hold on my Card for $100. he said you don't know anything and If I dont pay $100 he is going to cancel my reservation. I asked for manager and he refused. he said he will give me $100 recipt I got agree too but then he refused to give me receipt showing Deposit. Anyway Police was called coz he charged my card and after that he said I am rude and I cannot stay on this Red Roof Inn. when Expedia called him he hang up on them 3 times by saying he was discriminated. Let just say I would never come to this location again. Expedia moved to better location and everything was just great. not a place to bring my business to this location."

"Stayed at this location with group of dog friends for a 5 day dog show in Grayslake because it is pet friendly. The hotel has nowhere to walk or potty our dogs except the tree lawn at the street which was littered with trash and airplane liquor bottles (liquor/gambling store next to the hotel). No outdoor trash can so pet waste had to be walked to the dumpster which had broken glass all around it. On checkin - Our friend’s room had no hot water the first night and the toilet required a plunger; the other friend had to move the day after check in because the tub would not drain. Our room was surface clean but baseboards were grimey and ceiling tiles in the bathroom were askew and left holes in the ceiling. Faucets were water marked as if they had not been cleaned/wiped. The front desk was mostly unattended as we came and went through out our stay - couldn’t get extra towels or our room key fixed (one didn’t work). Friday night, there was a handmade note saying “lunch break. Be back in 20 minutes” but no one came back and calls to the front desk went unanswered. No one was there on Sunday when we checked out so we didn’t get a receipt for the stay. We would not stay here again."

"This was my second stay at this hotel and let’s just say it was just as good. The front desk workers are very nice, I felt welcomed when I checked in. The entrance was very clean as well as my room once again. It smelled good and the beds were very comfortable. I will continue to stay at the Red Roof fin in the future."
