"The people were nice and were trying very hard. The bed was clean and comfortable. The room smelled clean. The towels smelled clean but were tattered and stained. The outside doors were not secured and didn't even close all the way. A king room was $148 on a Friday night, so not inexpensive. The breakfast had all the elements but very sparse. The staff came in to help when asked"
"I had dropped off my load earlier and wanted to find a hotel with room for my Hotshot Trucking rig. I didn't want to spend a fortune. I always read the reviews and this one guests either hate or love it. The owner/Mgr was very honest and down to earth. He made me feel comfortable. He explained that he'd only owned it for 3 months and he had done extensive remodeling. Most of the haters were from a year ago and the previous management. There was not many other guests. The rooms were dated but clean, and the bathroom look like it had all new fixtures. Beds were exceptionally comfortable. The AC unit was even brand new. The rooms had no cigarette or weed odor like many other hotels seem to have these days. I was able to get a room and watch my truck all night. It was a nice day and I will probably stay there again if I end up in that town again. It was close to a huge convenience store right across the parking lot. It was close to the center of town."
"1) Right smack dab in the perfect location 2) Newly remodeled rooms 3) BEST DANG BED EVER! I slept wonderfully 4) Breakfast is... Well don't bother I imagine as the renovations are completed breakfast will be better. 5) The owners are obviously doing a great job of making an old hotel into a decent modernized hotel. You can tell they care."
"My nephew rented a room for my sister & her puppy over the phone - asked for a smoking room with a king size bed. Not only was the staff incredibly rude, the room had 2 small beds, it was a non smoking room and had NO PHONE. When asked about the phone- the staff says not all rooms have phones (?????). They said no other rooms available (judging from the parking lot very few rooms rented). In reading the other reviews I see many reports of bed bugs & other insects- not sure why the county health department had not done anything about this place!"
