"My wife and I were on the River Road tour and selected the Boones lick trail inn as our nightly stop. Our room was on the second floor in the back so we had privacy . Yet it just off the main street in down town and we had a river view. We loved the room and will look to spend another night when the opportunity presents itself."

"What a find Boone's Lick Trail Inn was for us! My fiancee and I went on a trip to St. Charles, MO to celebrate a personal milestone she achieved. We were greeted with Prosecco and amazing, locally made chocolates (you can pre-order this and other treats when making your reservation). The wonderful innkeeper, Venetia, asked us to call ahead when we were about 15 minutes out, as the parking situation was potentially a bit confusing. The lot appears to be a defunct street, so it is roped off to prevent non-guests from parking in the lot. Sure enough, when we arrived, Venetia and her husband were out there to great us and they simply pulled the rope off one of the stanchions and we drove right in and parked. We left only once to drive to a couples' massage a few miles away and simply pulled the rope off (and put it back) ourselves. Easy as pie. Venetia also gave us a nice orientation on the Inn, the area, and things to see and do. We had Room #4 which was on the second floor in the rear part, just up the outdoor staircase. It was comfortable and cozy and married an old-world feel with modern amenities. In many ways, it was like taking a step back in time, but in the best possibe way! The bed was super comfortable and the shower in the bathroom was nice and hot - two of my main criteria for a room. A delightful covered porch overhangs the upstairs rooms. We wanted to cuddle under a blanket on the love seat there and people watch at night, but we did not find the time - there is so much to do and see! The location is excellent as well, as it is essentially at one end of old St. Charles. It is situated just off the Katy Trail and probably a three-minute walk to the excellent Lewis and Clark Museum. So many major historical events have happened literally within feet of this Inn. For meals, we'd suggest the Bike Stop Cafe (we had excellent breakfasts there), Novellus Bar (life-changing biscuits and gravy breakfast), Bella Vino Wine Bar & Tapas for dinner, and Lewis & Clark Restaurant. All were fantastic. We will certainly return to St. Charles, and we will certainly be staying at Boone's Lick Trail Inn again!"

"Parking situation not favorable. No breakfast was offered. Shower water cold. Internet slow. No control of the air conditioning room was freezing most of the time. Very noisy road and outdoor lights shining in the bedroom."

"This place is amazing. We stayed in this Sears order home. The tub actually fits 2 people (very comfortable for my husband and I to relax in together). The owner was amazing and went above and beyond for us. She even made us a customer package. It was the perfect get away we needed. It was also nice to be able to walk around the historical at. Charles. We will be back"
