Holiday Acres Camping Resort

"We really thought this was going to be a great place for a seasonal camping spot. In my opinion it’s very expensive for what is offered. River front site is $400 extra, pump out is $390, you mow your own site or pay extra for that. They have a store it has candy, soda, and ice but nothing you may need in a pinch. There is a road that runs right through the camp and dump trucks nonstop it’s next to a gravel pit. There is a pool but if you are a camper pay to use it. The Miles Pub opens at 4 pm but not always true. We went plenty of times and it was closed. Miniature golf under construction for two years and not done. Nothing much for kids to do ! I must also mention the train that wakes you from a good sleep and about scares ya out of bed. I am so disappointed because it was a short drive for us. We met some nice people but most are gone because of how the place is run. Good luck to any who stay , So we left before our seasonal time was up because we planned a family trip somewhere else. I am so confused we had a contract but they gave our site to someone else. So we can't even come bace for the last few weeks in the season. I asked if they knew anyone or sublease and they said no but boy it didn't take long to fill our spot. We had a prime spot a view of the river when it had water and it didn't flood when everything else did.Really do research because a lot of people left the park because of a $900 a year increase and a few people were kicked out because of comments they made the staff didn't like that."

"This was our first time here. Staff was very nice and helpful. Our site was great, it was right on the river and we had plenty of room. The campground is nothing fancy but it is peaceful, quiet, and has friendly people. The pool was very well kept and the bathrooms were clean."

"Once new owners took over everything went down while the cost went up. The amount they expect people to pay to camp in a run down area is so disturbing. I’ve heard plenty of families who had permanent sites have moved due to the cost increase. It’s very unfortunate as we normally go a couple times a year. It’s not worth it after paying for a site and if you get a golf cart. Bathrooms are awful, Porta potty‘s aren’t kept up with, playground has nails sticking out the list could go on but I’ll just say it’s just plain awful. We will see how long it lasts with the prices increasing tremendously! People will realize soon enough. So unfortunate."

"Beautiful campground, tucked away in the woods by a creek. It's a little early in the camping season but Holiday Acres is clean, quiet with a friendly helpful staff. Our rig ended up being a little long for the original site we reserved but they gave us an even better one right by the creek. We ate at the Miles Bar and Grill just across the street from the property. It was pretty good and reasonably priced. I was expecting pit toilets but there are actually port-a-potties scattered throughout the property. Didn't care for that but everything else was great."

"We absolutely Love Holiday Acres. Our home away from home. New owner took over and the campground gets better and better each year. When purchased, the campground was run down, now Paul and staff are restoring it back to the beautiful campground it was years ago. They have done a great job! Sites here are big and spacious . Management (Jen) does an amazing job running the campground, planning many activities for young and old; Bands, bingo, crafts, movies, parades, hayrides, and so much more!! Pool looks amazing,too! Thank you Holiday Acres for being our true Happy Place!❤️"
