"Horrible, condescending, and racist against brown skin is an understatement. The front of house is the most disrespectful I have seen across multiple states(VA's). I am a proven example of a neglected afghan veteran here. I would in fact love a response here. The Lead Patient Advocate and the Director of the El Paso VA was my most recent contact back in October 2023. Denial of medications, treatments, my female doctor neglected my treatments because I am Mexican and I wanted to dictate my care are only a few examples. We ended our first and only appointment several years ago which was essentially a shouting battle of ego's, and I have yet to receive any treatment. Team A forged my paperwork, and when confronted about it, denied it. Patient advocacy could not have done less to rectify the situation. If you are unlucky enough to get placed at this VA, disregard the local business who place support of this facility. Listen to the Veterans opinions instead. Feom one combat veteran to you other veterans, I am sorry that you were assigned to here. I implore you all use out of network care. This place aggravates suicide rates among veterans. Google veteran suicide in their own parking lot. It's a tragedy, and this facility and it's staff exacerbates these horrible ideation. Shame on the El Paso VA."

"Appointments take months to get. Dental is 3 to 4 months. Finally went in for a cleaning. During the appointment the tech had no care was poking and stabing my gums so bad that the cleaning could not be completed. I was bleeding all over the place in the chair and I was spitting out blood for 2 days. 2 weeks later and my mouth still hurts. I would rather pay out in town. I will never use VA dental again unless it's for a referral but as for having services, never again."

"I have to go through community care to get specialty care for certain things which is dumb. The VA I came from/transferred from didn't use community car and as big as El Paso is, you figured they would have more resources. They set me up with these people outside of thebVA and they are the ones that cancel or reschedule. The VA never did that where I'm from the patient is usually the ones that change the appointment or cancels if something comes up the doctors here in El Paso are extremely unreliable. Worst medical care ever"

"My overall experience here has been positive. I know not everyone has had that same experience, and I hope that it gets better for them. A plus to this facility is that it has a shopette and cafeteria to help replenish after a blood draw or a long day here. The staff in labs have been phenomenal, especially these last few visits for blood. Didn't feel a thing. (FYI, there are some people in the community who claim to be veterans, but don't act like it. In my opinion, they aren't. If they have underlying, service-connected conditions, you don't let family members aggravate ANOTHER veteran who has their own conditions, which may be worse! There's no place for that! I don't care which branch of service you were in... we all served under the same flag! You should respect what a veteran might be going through and let him or her heal unimpeded. It would be a disgrace for a veteran suicide to be at the fault of another who is ignorant and disrespectful!)"

"The staff and security do not know the constitution especially the 1st Amendment even when it’s posted on their walls. Highly disturbing. I am a veteran and do not appreciate how they act and their ignorance. Their actions are disgusting and disrespectful to me and all the other veterans that have fought for this country. They say that it is a federal building (not understanding that it is the people’s building). The federal government can not and does not own property…the tax payers do!!! I wish I could give a zero star reviews. Of all places that should know the rights of the people, they should, especially when it’s post on their walls!"
