"Dr. Patel truly makes me miss Dr. Hodges. My mother was with Dr. Hodges for years before Dr. Patel took over since then we have struggled to keep her at the correct level on one of her medications. Sometimes we are asked to have her in the office for her testing twice a week. My mother does not drive and we all work and struggle every week to get her back-and-forth to her appointments. We have asked for an at home machine but we are told until she’s level for six weeks, they won’t prescribe one. What I don’t understand is what is the difference in doing the testing at home versus what they do in the office? During one of her visits, Dr. Patel didn’t even come into the room but stood outside in the hallway. It is unnerving when your doctor does not come into the room and take the time to sit and speak with. I think we’ve come to the point where Dr. Patel is not the doctor my mother needs. I think we’ve ran our course with his care."
"Dr Patel is a great doctor to have. He takes the time to answer any questions and concerns you have. Always finding different treatment options to insure he has done everything he can to help fight Cancer. His staff is great, always greet you by name and makes sure they ask how are you feeling."
"Dr. Patel is highly experienced and professional oncologist that I worked with. When I first came to see him, I was skeptical about treatment, but he quickly set up several scans to establish the level of my cancer. The results showed that the cancer is localized and can be removed through surgery. He made the arrangements for surgery which successful. Dr Urmeel prescribed appropriate chemo treatments and radiation. I was well again within months and back to work. Again, I had a relapse of the cancer and he set treatment program appropriate for the stage. I would recommend Dr. Urmeel to anyone who has to deal with Cancer."
