"Terrible experience. Scheduling department is a joke, I've never had such a bad experience with a medical provider."

"I have been a patient of Dr. M. Patel since April. I’ve completed 4 rounds of Chemo and became so sick that I could hardly get out of bed. My symptoms consisted of chills, nausea, blurred vision and at times uncontrollable shaking. I provided this information to my Dr at every appt but it felt like he never heard me. I decided to get another opinion from UT and had a scheduled treatment on Dec 5th with my current Dr. Apparently getting other opinions pisses off the Dr, so he decided NOT to give me my Dec treatment. This Dr could care less about his patients!!!"

"Total crooks! My dad prepaid for 2nd round of chemo only to be told the same day he paid that chemo would do more harm than good. The nurse said she would tell finance to cancel the payment my dad just made before we left the office. That was in mid June 2023. He died early July 2023 after zero 2nd round chemo treatments. Here it is almost October and they still will not return the more than $1700 he paid. Make sure youur loved ones do not prepay for treatment or you too might get scammed."

"Unfortunately I have to leave a negative review due to a negative experience. First, our family has a long history with Texas Oncology. When I found out I had cancer, I was set on using them. I even went as far as changing insurance to ensure they were covered by my plan. Now keep in mind their website states one will typically get an appointment within f three business days. I understand this is always not feasible, but this is what they are touting to potential patients so you’d think it would be within if not close to that range. So I called the New Patients booking. It went to voicemail. I left one, waited a day no one responded. Called back - went to voicemail (which states not to leave multiple voice mails). I called throughout the day, kept going to voicemail. The next morning I called, it went to voicemail again…so I decided to go in person. When I went they informed me I needed a referral and my medical records. No problem. I navigated this and provided what they needed. Called back the next day, went to voicemail again. Eventually I went through my PCP to see if she could have any luck. She was able to secure an appointment with them…but it was for SIX WEEKS later. Understand I was diagnosed in a hospital and told I need immediate treatment (as in I might not make it six weeks). The hospital Oncologist (who diagnosed, performed biopsy, analyzed mutation type, etc was adamant about this. So… I called Texas Oncology to see if we can expedite it. When I finally got to speak to someone I was told they didn’t even have me in their system. I called my PCP she gave me details on who she spoke with to schedule date. Ended up having to go in person again (really the only way to talk to anyone), spoke with the new patient booking. I explained mt situation and the urgency of the matter. She did not seem interested and went as far as saying the doctor who read my medical records did not view it as urgent (even though it states I need immediate treatment) and basically there is nothing I can do but wait. Obviously that was not going to happen so I ended up going to another cancer center who will be seeing me in four business days. So I cannot talk about their treatments or medical staff, but from an operations standpoint it was a nightmare simply trying to get an appointment (I was open to any physician at any location.). Many of the other reviews touch on the difficulties of being able to talk to anyone there to make or inquire about appointments. I really wanted to use them but I guess in the end I will be in better hands as the center I selected (which is as large) were on point. They made everything see less, realized the urgency, and accommodated me (all within a couple of hours). They seem to actually care, where I did not get that vibe from TX Oncology. If you are needing treatment pretty quickly and find yourself going down rabbit holes with them, I would recommend trying another cancer center because their operations seem to fall way behind the standard norm. Best of luck to anyone reading this.Again, I hate to write a negative review but at the same time hope this prevents someone going through what I did."

"Dr. Turner at this facility is terrific. However, I think that this business office for Texas Oncology is horrible. Their billing is spastic in issuing bills. It may take six months for them to send the bill and by then you are past your deductible. When I tried to discuss a situation with my insurance on the line, they rudely hung up. They are never wrong and you nor your insurance are ever right. When you pay for a service, they credit that to whatever they wish, while you are denying that you owe that bill. It would take an FBI forensic accountant to understand their billing. I would give them less than one star if possible. Their methods undo emotionally all of Dr. Turner's great work. They are a depression generator!"
