"What started out as a routine annual vaccination turned into the worst veterinary experience in my 50yrs of owning pets!!!! Let's add insults to injury: Instead of taking time to meet and greet they were abrupt so she reacted and instead of correcting their behavior they decided to muzzle her and tell me to tranquilize her. Biased because she's a pit! They left an injection wound that even after 3 wks is the size of a grape on her hiney. They did not seemed pleased to have a new client in their clinic and maybe they forgot public reviews and word of mouth referrals are the best publicity. Needless to say I will not return; trying to save a drive back to Helotes turned into a huge mistake! I wouldn't mind the over inflated bill if they weren't so rude and arrogant."

"Overpriced, we brought our dog here for her first visit outside of the shelter and they completely ignored our warning about her being easily spooked and proceeded to drag her on a leash to the other room without us. Do not come here unless you want to pay an egregious amount to be lied to and have your dog traumatized."

"This is by far the most understanding, compassionate vet ever. They actually care and love the pets and they explain thoroughly everything they need to do to the owners. I will forever be grateful for their compassion and knowledge and kindness."

"Absolutely the worst vet you can take your pet to. They will have no actual concern for the well being of your pet and will just try to get you to go in to spend unnecessary money. Hailey and Tiffany the front desk office will tell you anything concerning about your pet to get her into the office to spend money. They also have a technician by the name of Trevor who is the same way. There are four vets at this location and if your pet sees one, no other doctor will provide information. "Fair Oaks is small, but it is huge in heart. The vets are knowledgeable and friendly. They aren't afraid to try, no matter what the obstacle might be. They don't rush you. I had to have a fur baby euthanized and the vet who was tasked with the deed made sure, the whole time, that we were comfortable and ready. He performed a thorough exam to make sure there was no other viable option. He offered hugs and condolences and gave us an opportunity to tell our dogs stories. They made a heartbreaking experience, not just tolerable, but not so heartbreaking. (Fionbharr was a confiscated cruelty case. His previous human (I use the term loosely) beat him and created a compounded bulging disc. He was no longer able to move his hind end after this point. He was starved, abused, left to lie in his own urine (note the urine burns) and he had been left in this condition for months. I went and got Fionn because I didn't want his last weeks on planet Earth to be only fear and pain and dispair. I wanted him to know love and security and kindness before he closed his eyes and crossed the Rainbow Bridge. He spent 4 weeks with my family. Enjoying love, peace, kindness and pampering. My husband made wheels for him so he could go outside unassisted. His cremains rest in his urn out in our Rainbow Garden. If you see abuse and cruelty, please, take action.)"
