"Last year Texas Protax charged us nearly $1000 in spite of not reducing our tax rate at all. It turns out that at some point in our relationship, they snuck language into their contract so that even if their work produces no tax savings whatsoever, they can still charge you a "market value reduction fee" for getting the assessed market value of the property down, whether this results in any tax savings or not. Needless to say we will not be continuing our relationship in the future. Don't get scammed!"
