About the Business

Lost Pines Art Center

Lost Pines Art Center, located at 1204 Chestnut Street in Bastrop, Texas, is a vibrant art gallery showcasing a diverse collection of works from Texas artists. Currently, we are celebrating the Mardi Gras season with our new show, "L’Esprit de la Louisiane," featuring art that captures the spirit of Louisiana and Mardi Gras.

In addition to our gallery exhibitions, we host special events such as concerts by talented musicians like the Peterson Brothers, workshops for aspiring artists, and solo shows by featured artists like Jennifer Shaw. We are also currently accepting submissions for our annual Bird Show, part of the Bird City Bastrop celebrations in May.

The Lost Pines Art Center is committed to supporting the arts in our community, offering free admission to all visitors. We also provide free community programs such as chair yoga for seniors and actively participate in local initiatives like the Bastrop Bird Junction project.

Come visit us and explore the rich artistic heritage of Bastrop while enjoying the many amenities and attractions our historic town has to offer. Whether you're a seasoned art enthusiast or just looking for a fun day out, there's something for everyone at the Lost Pines Art Center.

"I was able to enjoy a glassblowing class prior to the pandemic. It was a wonderful experience. I had a great time. The young man that taught the class was so easy going and funny. I can't wait to do it again. I love my paper weight so pretty."

"Really nice space just not much art at the time I visited. They were preparing for an art festival. I'm looking forward to attending that event."

"Friendly staff/artists. Sign-in near entrance. Parking is limited, but street parking is ample. Near cool sculpture of Marylin Monroe. Space includes fenced in courtyard with several revamped silos now used as art spaces--blown glass demonstrations, etc. Clean bathrooms. Upstairs. Coffee shop near entrance. Excellent art pieces, of course."

"This facility is gorgeous. Artwork from local artists rotates monthly. Wine and snacks every First Friday, regular classes for artists at all levels, and great events on a regular basis. You can view and purchase art any day of the week. Local artists have shops upstairs. A great place to view, buy, and make art!"
