"This is an amazing place for a quick lunch. Pastrami and rueben are my absolute favorite. Extremely fresh and a really generous amount of meat. A great selection of sweets - cakes, cookies, halva."

"If you are looking for a classic Jewish delicatessen experience in the Midwest, look no further than Kauffman‘s bagel and delicatessen. The shop is ringed with counters, providing deli items, smoked fish, baked goods, and of course. They have a wide selection of mustard and jams. The bakery has a dizzying array of old world style goods. The challah Golden Brown. The bagels are lightly crusty on the outside with a soft, ready interior. Giant tubs of cream cheese at a wonderful price are available to slather on a smear. The deli counter is filled with amazing meats. A dozen different smoked fish options, tantalize through the glass. The pastrami is the best that I’ve had outside of San Francisco and New York. They slice it thin by the pound. It is easy to be intimidated. The counter people are precise And committed to their task. Embrace the entire experience and you will leave with more delicious food than you thought you would."

"Absolutely love a good bagel sandwich so when I heard this establishment has gluten free bagels it was a done deal for me. Ordered 3 and 2 sandwich’s were wrong. Made with regular white bread after calling in to see what I can do to replace these sandwich with something I can actually eat I was told to place the sandwiches in my freezer and to return them the next time I’m in the area for the correct ordered…. Won’t ever be returning here for anything. I recommend Emma bagel shop over this place"

"OMG! The corned beef on an Onion roll is fire! I've never seen an Onion roll like the one they served me. The onions look like all pecan slivers and were slightly toasted, releasing a seductively sweet flavor. There was just the right amount of mustard. And when I asked for Swiss cheese, they layered a heaping amount of corned beef between two slices of my favorite frommage. I paired my sandwich with a can of Dr. Brown's Draft Style Root Beer and had a meal that truly made me happy. If you've never been to Kaufman's, you need to check it out. And if it was once an old-time favorite of yours, get out and rediscover it. There's sure to be something on the menu that will delight you."
