"I just walked in and was greeted by a few staff heavy in social conversation. When I stated I was there to open an account I was abruptly told the qualifications - almost as if I didn’t “qualify”. I was aware and a resident living in the Heights neighborhood two blocks away. I noticed two other staff - one lady in her office and one female sitting at the teller window. The staff at the front were not very welcoming at all and should not be the face of customer service…I was told to have a seat after they received my name. I waited about 10 minutes only to be told that the only person that could help me was in a meeting and it would take 25 minutes for me to be assisted. Why have me wait if you knew the person wasn’t available? To have “five staff” casually hanging out doing “nothing” and then having to wait 25 minutes for the “one person” who could assist me - was utterly ridiculous! I kindly stated that I would take my businesses (and $6m) elsewhere. Don’t EVER judge a book by its cover- you have know idea!! I wonder if I had been “dressed to part” and been five shades “lighter” if I would have been treated more like a prospective customer and gotten better service! There’s too much competition in the banking business industry in this city to deal with subpar treatment!! I thought I would patronize this business because it was in my neighborhood, and for the convenience, but NOT TODAY!!"
