"We saw Melissa for a couple of years on a weekly basis to help us with our child. After meeting with him only twice, she insisted on helping him through seeing us, his parents. She did a huge amount of damage by making us believe our parenting was the problem when it turned out our son had multiple learning issues. I cannot stress enough how she did not listen to or believe us. We lost so much time that should have been spent helping our child. Choose someone else!"

"My husband and I went through a lot of life changes (marriage, baby, move across the country, new jobs etc) and it took us down a bumpy road. Our communication was terrible and we were bickering constantly with an occasional huge blow out fight. We knew we loved each other and wanted to reset. We both wanted to feel understood. I’d never been to therapy before and didn’t really understand how truly transformative it can be. Fast forward to a year later and my husband teared up because he was leaving on a 2 week business trip and he was going to miss us (our daughter and I). I’m not going to say we don’t fight, but when we do we have a lot better tools than we did before and the frequency of those arguments are dramatically fewer. We have so much more empathy for one another because we’ve learned about who we are at our core and why we show up the way we do. This journey has taught me a lot about my husband but even more about myself. Now I’m a walking billboard for therapy. I think everyone should do it. It’s empowering and healing and brings meaning to things I once overlooked. While committing to therapy isn’t a cheap endeavor, I’ve concluded there isn’t much out there more important than the quality of my relationships with my family.
