"Just a ridiculous process to get into an IOP program only to get charged for an assessment then denied care. If this is how they deal with what they feel is a difficult case then I have no confidence in how they would deal with someone's mental health needs. Maybe we dodged a bullet, honestly. Just not worth the process or the cost."

"i participated in the young adult IOP with Mia, Jamie and Kristen and absolutely loved my time. However, i would feel better about leaving knowing that Mia had a job secured. She was a continuous light and supportive figure in group and y’all would be lucky to have her. Once her job is confirmed i will happily update my review to 5 stars."

"I was disappointed with my experience at Prism from the start. I had to call daily or almost daily for two weeks just to get an intake appointment. The intake therapist was warm and caring and I was optimistic about joining the IOP program. We had the same therapist for the whole program covering group sessions, skills, and individual therapy, and I found our therapist smug and lacking rapport. I was frustrated with the group sessions because our therapist didn’t intervene if one person took up the whole session or if a couple of people were talking at length about something completely irrelevant (for example, their class schedules). They intervened a few days later only after I complained that this wasn’t what I was paying for. I’m in my late 30s and couldn’t relate to our group who were in their late teens and early 20s. During the skills part we read out loud from a packet without much discussion and I didn’t retain much. I was most disappointed with individual therapy because my therapist was pushy when I said I was very uncomfortable with something, and often gave very bizarre advice which my psychiatrist then told me to disregard. They even told me I don’t need to be in therapy and I’m glad I knew better than to believe that given my history. I’m giving two stars because it was valuable for me to have structure with something to do and focus on four days a week and because I made a close friend from the program. Long after the program ended we still talk and support each other almost everyday."

"I went through the Intensive Outpatient Program. From the very beginning, the first few people I talked to were incredibly understanding and gentle. You could tell they really cared about their job and spoke to you as if they wouldn’t rather be doing anything else. My initial assessment with Shelly was amazing. She had a very kind smile and was very sympathetic to everything I told her. Once I started the program I learned a multitude of ‘DBT’ Skills and began putting them into practice. My suicidal thoughts decreased heavily throughout the 2 month course. The group leader Nhu-Mai was phenomenal, and I am so grateful I had the opportunity to go through the program. Even though I still need further treatment they make sure before you exit the program you have all the resources that you need to help yourself. 1000% would recommend this place."

"The group therapist is deeply unprofessional. When I went here, I felt like I couldn’t truly express myself or how I felt. I waited on writing this but I remember in group therapy the therapist admitted with glee how she keeps a record book of people she betted on relapse and was proud she knew that 90%(?) would fail. She was condescending and I don’t understand why she is a therapist when clearly, she had her own issues to work out with herself. I don’t see it as a good sign at all that most members had been there a long time. The director(?) was warm and welcoming but when I tried to get a refund he went cold and corporate on me. Figures. Yeah no this place isn’t a very supportive environment."
