About the Business

Unified Child Advocacy Network

Unified Child Advocacy Network (UCAN) is a community-based organization located at 101 North State Street in Jerseyville, Illinois. Our mission is to ensure the safety and well-being of children who have been affected by sexual and serious physical abuse. We strive to serve, protect, and advocate for these vulnerable children, as well as educate the community about the issue of child abuse.

UCAN provides support and services for child victims and non-offending families in the counties of Calhoun, Jersey, Greene, Macoupin, and Montgomery. Our dedicated team works tirelessly to address the unique needs of each child and family, offering resources and guidance to help them heal and move forward from traumatic experiences.

By bringing together a network of professionals, volunteers, and community members, UCAN aims to create a safe and nurturing environment for children in need. We are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of these young individuals, and we invite you to join us in our efforts to protect and support the next generation.

"My grandson told his grandmother and mother that he ate his dad's weiner. They reported it to police and had an interview today with UCA. Spent some time with my granddaughter and she told them what has happened. Spent maybe 2 minutes with grandson and he is 3 so a little shy with strangers and didn't "cooperate " with interviewer. So nothing is being done. Why should a 3 year old have in his vocabulary "ate my dad's weiner ". HE SHOULDN'T!! But he does because that is what his father is doing to him. But since he would not "cooperate " the case is unfounded. These people have failed this little boy. They are as big of a joke as dcfs."
