"I had finally found my dream car in the UK, and had to get it transported to Los Angeles. It was a major undertaking, since it was my first time. After years of searching, I pulled the trigger and finalized the sale. The UK shipping company recommended Horizon Shipping for Customs Brokerage. This is something individual shipper must do, if they're not bonded and their items cost more than $2500. Customs deals directly with your broker and have power of attorney. I had the pleasure of speaking with Mardy the first time, and she explained everything very patiently, and later e-mailed all the needed documents. Once all the paperwork was submitted, my car left from Southampton on its way to Port Hueneme in Los Angeles. When the vehicle arrived, I received a notice from Sarah, that there was a customs hold on my car, which was normal. It took a week and my car was finally released, and ready for pick up. After making the payment via bank transfer, I was given the paperwork needed to go and pickup the car. In total I was at the port for 1 hour, and I was on my way home. Since all my paperwork was properly filed. Both Sarah and Mardy took care of my questions, filed the ISF on time, and delivered on their professional promise. I can't ask for more, and will give them all my future business on top of recommending them to anyone who needs transportation services."
