"Package Express may not be an ideal choice for couriers with significant financial responsibilities. Favoritism and lack of transparency regarding rates can be frustrating, particularly when dealing with the logistics coordinator, Keith. He is the biggest coward I've dealt with in this business thus far. To address any issues, it may be necessary to wait for his arrival in his little gray Dodge Dart. Calling might not be effective, as they might claim he is busy despite being at his desk twiddling his thumbs doing absolutely nothing. If you decide to work here, consider building your client base and moving on eventually. Be cautious about load rates since they might not disclose them clearly. The invoice sheet displays only your percentage of the run, without showing the original amount agreed upon with the shipper. Payment usually ranges between $8 to $24 per run, with occasional out-of-town runs paying slightly over $100. To ensure fair compensation, ask for the rate confirmation between Package Express and the shipper. Otherwise, it might be wise to explore other independent courier options"

"Allow me to start by saying I went to this place seeking a job. I have more than 30 years in logistics and transportation. Filled out the little application and was told by Max that he would call me back within 30 minutes. Days later, no call. I must admit I did show up unannounced and encountered max in the process of hiring drivers. I did get a chance to speak briefly with Max, but he seemed to busy to go over any details. Personally, after many years in management, if I see a company doing mass interviews and hires, it tends to tell me that there is a very high turnover. I will leave it to your imagination as to why a company would have this problem. So to summarize, if you are looking for a job in deliveries, this may not be the best place to seek it. My philosophy is to hire slowly and fire quickly. Keep your drivers happy and there would be no reason to hire constantly. I believe he sensed my knowledge about this problem and refused to even consider me for a position. I am happily employed at lone star overnight and do very well there."

"Worked as a manager there about a year. The dispatch team was great. Upper management was horrible and clueless. Hidden fees for drivers that shorted their checks, no loyalty to their office employees. They accepted contracts through much larger companies, for pennies on the dollar, to where the drivers were not making literally anything per delivery. I begged and pleaded with upper management about the ridiculous rates they were putting in place, because there was no way to turn profit. But the owner was more concerned with "looking professional" and working with Averitt, rather then actually earning profit and taking care of the people that worked for them. Come to find out none d the managers I worked with are still there. Could have been a great company and great place to work."
