"-EDIT- To their credit, the management has been very caring and patient and understanding in dealing with the claims and what not. While there probably would've never been a resolution that would've completely satisfied us -- they really went above and beyond to make things right, and I, for one, REALLY appreciated their care and attention. --- The crew damaged a few things -- one of them being an heirloom that we asked the crew to be very gentle and mindful of. The one star is not because of the damages. I'm fully aware that things may get damaged in a move, as unfortunate as that is. the one star is how the crew dealt with this information. I'd fully understand if the movers can't admit to fault right then and there due to legality or company policies. Then they could train their managers to say something along the lines of "This is an unfortunate occurrence, but I made a note of it and come the next business day, call the office and please file a claim." What the crew decide to do was gaslight us. First they denied responsibility. Then we showed them the broken pieces, they suggested it may have been there before the move -- which all the damages happened in the front of our items -- meaning we would've all seen the damages as we were doing the initial walk-thru of the house and items that need to be moved. Like the broken pieces of the dresser were in the plastic wrapping they wrapped. When the crew leader saw that he said, "It's not even the same size as the chipped off part of the leg." We had to tell him to look at all the pieces on the ground and in the plastic wrapping -- the pieces weren't floating in the plastic wrapping (THAT Y'ALL WRAPPED) before the move. I mean, my guy, you wrapped it. The pieces broke off clearly after the wrapping because it's inside the plastic wrapping... Our experience with 3 Men Movers is that when things are damaged their procedure is to 1) deny and faced with evidence to rebut their denial 2) blame the clients. I just want to emphasize, while we were thoroughly disappointed with the damage of that dresser -- I would've moved on after filing a claim with 3 Men. But attempting to gaslight us by telling us it was always there before the move is ridiculous."
