Elder-Ride Carewagon Transport

"TL:DR - Does exactly as promised and took care of getting my mom from an upstairs apartment to my house a bit further down the road. If they don't ask and you live on a second floor, be extra clear that they understand this. Longer story. I spoke with them about the ride and got a quote. When the gentleman arrived who was very good at what he does, he was alarmed to see it was an apartment on the second floor as that is harder to do. He said he had to call his boss to get clearance. His boss called me and said "You didn't say she was one the second floor, that causes risks." I explained that I do believe I mentioned that but if it is just an extra charge, please go ahead and charge it - I had more than enough to cover it. Instead of it ending right there though, he insisted I didn't say it which regardless of whether or not I did - I as a customer was willing to pay for it as I had no way to get my mother comfortably where she needed to go. So that said. as of 1/28/2022 Elder-Ride is a great service but whoever runs it should make a standardized script with checkboxes to ask : 1. The patient's condition (special care to be taken care of if needed). In my example, I explained to the person as he walked in about my mom's leg. Being prepared ahead of time would have been that much better. 2. If someone mentions an apartment or asks for assistance getting someone into the car, ask if they are upstairs or downstairs. This is so important for caretakers and elderly people alike. I helped the driver get my mom downstairs very easily and that was it but it could have gone a lot worse. That's all for this long rant. I hope they can continue to improve as a non-ambulance solution for our elderly loved ones."

"After using some other services, they are WAY above ! Never late, Very Professional, The are make sure my moms wheelchair is very secure. I always go with my moms however they make sure we get to the right suite. They give a confirmation call and also let you know when the driver is on the way. I feel lucky to find them!!"
