Ramada by Wyndham Bettendorf

"I wish I had read the reviews before booking at this Ramada. Please, please read all the reviews before booking this hotel. Our room at The Ramada was disgusting! The pillow cases and sheets were blood stained. Whoever was responsible for cleaning the room is a disgusting person! The 1st thing I saw when entering the room was a blood stained pillow! Really? We also saw a few dead bugs. I took the pillow to the front desk. I told the receptionist about the sheets and bugs. She said show me. I said, you think I'mlying? After her inspection, they gave us a much nicer room, that doesn't say much though. When you check in, it's as if you are signing away your rights to everything. I've never had to sign so many papers just for a hotel in all my 55 years. The receptionist gave my husband and I only one hotel card. I asked for another key card. She informed me that I would be charged $5.00 extra! I declined the key card."

"This place is gross! Wyndham should be embarrassed to have this hotel under its name. Owner operators who clearly dont care or even respect what they own. Ex. Simple request for an extra pillow and blanket were met with insulting questions like we were planning to steal a blanket or pillow. We had to argue to get an extra blanket...firmly told no for an extra pillow. Lets start withe grounds....trash and broken items strewn about outside. Like literal broken air conditioners in pieces scattered about. Garbage overflowing outside. Inside...hotel lobby furniture wouldn't even sell at a thrift store. It looks like they may have a vacuum schedule done annually. I couldn't get over how filthy it was. Inside room...bathroom was disgusting. I don't think they ever clean it...this isn't a must have cut corners type gross. It was pure filth. Mold all around the bathroom, white grout was actually black due to build up. Shower was filthy and walls were splattered with who knows what. Sheets, pillow cases blankets all had stains....not one stain....multiple stains. Breakfast...the health department needs to take a look at how they handle the breakfast area. The waffle maker was caked with old food. Gave up on that when I saw a hair stuck in dried food on the side of the machine. Donut holes in a case to grab with no tongs. Skipped that, as I processed the thought of how many fingers touched those. We would not have stayed had it not been for pre-paid booking. I could keep going but pretty sure this provides enough examples to steer very clear of staying here."

"The pool is STILL closed even tho Covid is technically over we went down to look at the pool even though it was closed and it was THREE DIFFERENT COLORS Our bed had a thin sheet and no blanket, NO ICE BUCKETS I called down and they brought me a trash bag I told her about my leaking tub faucet She mumbled something and walked out We stayed one night for the whole weekend and stayed somewhere else for the rest of the weekend The 58 for checking in and 100 for deposit which is fine. As check in is at 12 and we checked in at 1 and they charged us $15 For checking in late??? And she didn’t even tell me when we checked in so I was charged after my card after we checked in So they took it out my deposit Highly recommend staying somewhere else…"

"The bedding was clean, the room was clean-ish. The Breakfast left something to be desired, but mostly because the waffle machine was broken, so I'm guessing that was temporary. The pool was out of commission. Nonetheless the staff was very pleasant and it was inexpensive , so I was satisfied with my stay."
