"I prefer to patronize small, local businesses, so I chose Andrew's for my instrument repair because it is near by and has many good reviews. Upon first pickup, repairs were incomplete, shoddy and in one case, worse than when I left it. Second time around, repairs were better but still not complete and instrument had new damage sustained from repairs. Instead of pointing out the deficiencies, again, I decided to pay and move on and count it up as a lesson. I would not recommend Andrew's for brass repairs as the repair shop aspect of this business doesn't seem to be concerned about quality control."

"Visited the store with my son and his cello looking for new strings. The store owners were knowledgeable, courteous, and easy going. We ended up picking slightly higher than the middle of the pack strings. The store personnel helped to restring the cello, pointed out to my son how to manage a few things with it (his complaints were imaginary, as I had thought), and upon returning home, the cello sounds great (as I expected; the parent is always right). What I liked the best? So, upon my son pointing out his complaints with the cello i had purchased for him a few years back (I know, spoiled), the store didn't take the opportunity to push 'a new cello', or 'replace this and that'. Now, I'm not saying a bad instrument wouldn't be pointed out as having issues, but in this instance they were straight forward, and didn't come off as opportunistic; just very helpful. Either way, they now have my business for any future needs. To summarize; a very cool store; not too big, not too small, with a decent selection of instruments, along with a relaxed atmosphere with a knowledgeable and honest/helpful staff. I recommend for anyone in the Kingwood area whose kids are in orchestra or band, and haven't visited the shop yet; unless you're the world renown Enrico Pallazzo, they'll likely have whatever you need."
