"Our family had a wonderful experience with Ellie's help at The Bastrop Birthing Center. It's been 4 years since our daughter was born and I can look back on it satisfied that it was done well. Ellie is caring and knowledgeable. Mine was a VBAC and I knew we were in good hands and trusted her to help manage the delivery of my daughter. "I can’t begin to express my gratitude! We had a horrible experience with a new OBGYN since mine no longer birthed babies. Then we found Ellie! I had zero confidence in myself and wasn’t even considering an out of hospital, unmedicated birth. Then we found Ellie! Rather than getting the generic “you’re pregnant, get over it” response from our OBGYN, we opted for Ellie’s “what can we do to make you feel better” responses. The care before our daughters birth was so encouraging and made this pregnancy so much better than my first, But the best part was the birth experience itself. I was terrified, because I’m a huge wuss. Ellie built my confidence for 9-ish months and continued that confidence building during the birth. Afterwards, She let my husband catch the baby, and gave us 2 or so mostly uninterrupted hours after to be with ourselves. We got to sit in the big bed with our new baby, love each other, and relax. About 2 hours later, we got to go home & sleep in our own beds and introduce our newborn to her big brother. We didn’t have to stay in the hospital for days, miserable. I wish I had known about Ellie with my first baby! If I had to do it all over again, I would absolutely go back to The Birthing Center."

"I love the birth center! I have gotten such great care for each pregnancy from the midwives. Don't hesitate to reach out for more information. I recommend doing this early into pregnancy so you can secure your due date with the team. The center is also beautiful and extremely comforting. I was a transfer for my first birth but that does NOT mean anything wrong happened during my care, I was overdue. I was supported by Ellie at the hospital and had a fantastic postpartum. The care I received led to my baby and me being super healthy and I knew I would still come back here (which I did 2 years later with baby 2) regardless."

"I’ll never have enough good things to say about Ellie or our experience at The Bastrop Birthing Center. Ellie was with us from the very beginning of our journey to baby girl and a true blessing in our lives. We ultimately had a baby who was stubbornly breech and had to schedule a c section. Ellie immediately shifted to helping me prepare mentally and physically for the c section. She scheduled everything for us with the hospital and was with us the entire time before and during the procedure. She supported me during the c section which allowed my husband to focus on our baby once she arrived. We had the best postpartum experience with Ellie also and she continued to give our little girl the best care for six weeks after birth."

"Midwife Ellie is the best! My main concern with my third pregnancy was GBS due to my second born getting diagnosed with a GBS infection after birth. Ellie gave me her natural approach to GBS prevention and thankfully I gave birth to a healthy baby girl. If you aren’t in a location ideal for a homebirth but want that experience I highly recommend The Bastrop Birthing Center. I had my first two babies at a different birth center with a team of multiple midwifes and my experience with Ellie was far superior. Our relationship grew and I felt like we were family. We will definitely be back for any future babies!"
