"Dr. Black does not have any bedside manner, comes across as very rude and arrogant- doesn’t seem to care at all about patient concerns. I was made to feel stupid regarding my concerns over my fibroids and a mass that showed up on an MRI. Both the fibroids and mass were discovered by another doctor and she was not at all happy that I didn’t consult her first (even though her office refused to schedule me due to an insurance issue, leading me to go elsewhere). Once finally getting in to see Dr. Black, I took my MRI images and report from other doctor for her to look at and give me further guidance. I left in tears, feeling belittled and defeated. I do not typically leave reviews, but felt compelled to do so after this experience. I will not be returning to her office, although, based on her bedside manner (lack thereof), I do not think she cares if she loses patient. She is, by far, the worst practitioner that I have ever dealt with."

"Dr. Dawn Black was my Gynecologists'. She performed a Hysterectomy and punctured my colon and intestines' and said she did not do it. 8 days after her she performed a surgery I ended up in a coma for 4 day 7 surgery's later, she still doesn't own her mistake and never received an apology. She actually told me not to come to her office any more. Don't do this doctor, NO INTEGRITY!"

"I went last September (2022) to visit Dr. Black for the first time. Right off the bat, she was a bit rude and impersonal, and acted as if she wanted the appointment over with as quickly as possible. I went to get prescribed birth control, as well as to discuss some discomfort I’d been having in my lower abdomen. She went about prescribing me the birth control, then did a pelvic exam to address the discomfort. She admitted to feeling some swelling around my uterus, but didn’t make a big deal of it, nor did she tell me what she thought it could be. She simply said something along the lines of “See if the birth control fixes the problem.” And that was that. I also treated it as if it wasn’t a big deal since a professional didn’t think of anything of it. However, I found out early this year I had a fibroid roughly the size of a softball in the muscle of my uterus (I’m no doctor, but in a 5’1, 105 lb female, this should be fairly obvious and a cause for concern when performing a pelvic exam). My new OBGYN noticed the mass and ordered an ultrasound immediately in April. This fibroid happened to have pieces of a very rare and potentially very dangerous type of tumor that might not have been identified and removed if I hadn’t gone to see a much nicer, personable, caring, and (in my opinion) much more qualified OBGYN doctor. I’m currently recovering from my surgery to remove the fibroid/PEComa tumor and am now getting both calls and e-mails to schedule my yearly exam with Dr. Black since September is coming up, and she has no idea what I’ve been through over the past couple of months, considering she was so nonchalant and dismissive about things when I went in last September and I didn’t feel like I could go back to her with the same problems (hence this delayed review, as I’m quite annoyed with them consistently bothering me when they didn’t seem super interested in helping me when I truly needed it)."
