"Dr. Montgomery III saw my wife and told her that 'in general' "people" (he says he was generalizing and not referring specifically to her) don't need to take psychiatric medications. He told her that "people" could be on a desert island and be just fine. Dr. Montgomery is not a psychiatrist and acknowledged that he was not familiar with any of the psychiatric medications my wife was taking. Shamed, my wife came home in tears. I called the doctor to discuss this incident and he continued to express his sentiment that "some people" are better off without "certain medications". Dr. Montgomery told my wife to research the side-effects of the medications she takes herself to as to a symptom she was having. He was also not aware of a newer medication that is being advertised on tv for this symptom and claimed there were no such medications on the market. Go elsewhere, this doctor is not staying current and has poor communication skills."
