"I have come here twice now, both times on a Saturday afternoon. Admission is free, but donations are suggested, as they directly go to ordering more butterflies ($3/adult or $5/group). I spent a majority of my time here, as I love butterflies (and moths too!). There's a good mix of species from across the world, some of which I haven't seen at other butterfly houses. I would highly recommend visiting here in your spare time. It is weather dependent, as the house is only enclosed with a mesh. In the back of the butterfly house is the display area of the butterflies and moths that have not yet eclosed. If you are lucky, you might catch a glimpse of them eclosing. If you are very lucky, you might get to see a moth! They are very elusive at other butterfly houses I have gone to, and they (at least the ones from the family Saturniidae) do not live long, as the Saturniids have vestigial mouthparts in their adult stage. As of writing this review, this butterfly house has several African moon moths in their cocoons that have not eclosed, with the exception of one, which I was fortunate enough to see! They look unreal."

"What a beautiful place! I had no idea this existed. The Butterfly House was AMAZING! They were so active and friendly. The view from the silo was awesome. All the plants were so pretty. My girl loved walking in the water. Bring a lunch as there are plenty of places to eat. All free, however they have a container for donations to the Butterfly house."

"Drove from Elgin to visit the butterfly house only to find out that they were closing it an hour early due to being short staffed. It just so happened that in front of us was a Peck Farm volunteer named Joan and her grandson who were also disappointed about the closing. Joan volunteered to stay and work the last hour so that they could stay open. Thanks to Joan's selflessness we were able to spend time in the butterfly house and man those butterflies did not disappoint! HIGHLY recommend this for all ages!!"

"Butterfly house is nice. Very calming place to spend time. Not too much else to see here besides an old farmhouse and some plants. The silo is closed but the website says nothing about this. Still, worth a stop for the wide variety of butterfly's."

"Cute!!!!!!!! We loved the butterfly house and loved watching all the different ones fly around. They only let so many people in at a time which is nice, BUT one of the groups we were with weren't following the biggest rule which was DONT TOUCH THE BUTTERFLIES. These kids were grabbing at them, holding them with both hands closed, and holding their wings. Omg! The gentleman who was working this area had to come in 3 separate times to remind them not to touch, but neither the kids OR PARENTS listened. Sooo ignorant, yall were purposely hurting them and possibly killing them. Shame on you! We ended up cutting our trip early because of them, so we'll definitely be back to see them again. Thanks!"
